Privacy Policy

This document explains what data Lumina collects about you, why, and how we protect it. We aim for minimal data processing and never request what isn't required for the service.

1. Data Controller

Lumina is a mobile app for astrological and esoteric interpretations. The data controller is an individual, the app developer. You can contact us at makarofalex@gmail.com.

2. Data We Collect

Email — for authentication and communication.
Phone number — for contact and future verification. Not used for advertising.
Display name — can be a nickname or pseudonym. We do not request your real name.
Birth date, time, and place — for natal chart computation.
Birth coordinates — derived from city name via a geocoding service.
Preferences — language, persona (mystic/scientist/friend), focus area — for personalization.
Install ID — random UUID generated locally on the device. Not tied to your identity.
AI chat history — stored on your device. Used to provide context for AI responses.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

Your real first and last name.
Identity documents or passport data.
Real-time location.
Contacts, photos, or files from your device.
Biometric data.
Browsing history or activity in other apps.

4. Data Storage

Profile data is stored in a secured Supabase database hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt). Access is protected by encryption and an authorization system. AI requests (to DeepSeek) are proxied through our Germany-based backend (Hetzner); your email and other identifying data are not forwarded to the AI provider.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it with third parties only for technical purposes:

Supabase — profile storage and authentication.
DeepSeek — processing AI chat queries. Only the dialogue text is sent, without user identifiers.
OpenStreetMap Nominatim — geocoding city names to coordinates. Only the city name is sent.
Apple / Google — payment processing for in-app purchases (if applicable).

6. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion all data is removed within 30 days, except minimal records required for legal compliance (if applicable).

7. Your Rights

Delete your account — anytime via in-app settings. Deletion is final and irreversible.
Export your data — email the operator for a copy.
Correct your data — via in-app profile or by emailing the operator.
Withdraw consent — by deleting your account.

8. Children

Lumina is not intended for users under 13. If you believe we collected data from a child under 13 by mistake, contact the operator and we will delete it.

9. Security

All communication between the app and the server is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS 1.3). JWT tokens are validated using asymmetric cryptography (ECC). Access to server infrastructure is restricted.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. For substantial changes you'll receive a notice in the app or by email. The effective date is shown at the top of this document.
